Best Dog Parks in the USA

Do you like taking your dog to the park? Do you enjoy their restless happiness and new friendships? Well, guess what, they love park adventures even more. Doggy parks are an excellent way to get away from the daily routines and spend some quality time with your fluffy friends where both you and they can enjoy and relax.

The popularity of dog parks is increasing and there are really some outstanding ones with modern attractions and toys for the dogs. This is a list of some of the best dog parks in the USA.

While our blog’s mascot is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, this applies to any breed.

Huntington Dog Beach (California)

The park is located between 21st Str. and Seapoint Avenue along the Pacific Coast Highway. The park has both sandy and grassy area equipped with picnic tables and public restrooms. The beach is a perfect getaway for runners and swimmers.

Dog Beach Fiesta Island (San Diego, California)

Come take a look around Dog Beach on Fiesta Island on Mission Bay in San Diego. Dog beach is located in Ocean Beach at the end of W Point Loma Blvd just north of the jetty wall between Ocean Beach and where the San Diego River meets the Pacific Ocean. This is a must attend for dog lovers and their canine beach enthusiast friend, leash free since 1972.

Country Kennels Dawg Water Park (Murrieta, California)

Country Kennels Dawg Water Park has an enormous pebble tech in-ground saltwater pool with two beach entries, a Baja ledge, diving dock, and multiple waterspouts. The area is completely fenced for your pet’s protection. The pool area also has custom made tunnels and hills for your dogs to run and play. You don’t have to worry about your pet getting grass or dirt in your car after their play time is over. The pool grass area is all artificial with sprinklers so their feet don’t get hot. There are additional areas for groups to hold special functions for agility, flyball or training.

Lucky Paws Dog Park and Pool (Pennsylvania)

Pets will love to play off-leash at this fenced dog park with doggie pool, picnic tables, agility equipment, benches, and a separate small dog area. Membership required.

Lake Woof Dog Park (Florida)

Overlooking Lake Osborne and spanning more than four acres, the new dog park features five enclosed landscaped dog areas with designated areas for large, medium and small dogs. Each enclosure includes a gazebo with benches, drinking fountains, dog wash area, and doggie bag station and trash receptacle.

Other park improvements include accessible six-foot wide asphalt and concrete circular paths in each area, park benches along the pathways, and asphalt bike/pedestrian trails that connect to the rest of the park. In addition, 42 regular parking spaces and four ADA accessible parking spaces were added.

Cherry Creek State Park (Colorado)

Cherry Creek State Park is an off-leash dog area 3 miles in length with a side creek. What more can you look for? Dogs can enjoy running, walking and splashing in the water. The price is $11 per day, but you can also opt for an annual pass because your dog will be grateful!

Shawnee Mission (Kansas)

The recreation area is open throughout the whole year. These 53 acres are filled with wooded areas, swimming area, and wood. It’s a great escape from the city hustle for the owners their best furry friends.

Nampa Dog Park (Idaho)

Similar to the in Missouri, the Nampa Dog Park is separated into three areas. Juvenile, adult and senior dog areas are spread across six acres, fenced for the safety of the pooches. They also plan on building a swimming pond in near future.

Montrose Dog Beach (Illinois)

Dogs from Chicago can now enjoy beach, sun and water activities in the first off-leash legal beach in the City. It’s still developing but all visitors are saying only positive things.

Washington Dog Park (Ohio)

Even though it’s not an escape to nature, this urban place has everything your pup needs. The park is equipped with granite boulders, water, and synthetic turf, pretty much everything a doggy needs.

Pilgrim Dog Park (Massachusetts)

This urban dog park is specially designed for art-loving dogs. Everything from the entrance, the kiosks, poop-bag stations, and benches were designed by artists.

Southbury Dog Park (Connecticut)

Another off-leash area with a natural shallow water-stream where the dog can have fun making their feet wet and dry them off while running through the forest.

Hawaii Navy Dog Park (Hawaii)

Clean and safe dog area to have a run with your pup. The park is located in the only state in the United States free of rabies.
